Ken was born in Waterville, Maine, and raised in Gainesville, Florida.  He received his undergraduate degree in Telecommunication with honors from the University of Florida in 1991.  While attending the University, he was a member of the Golden Key and Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Societies.  He received his Juris Doctorate, also with honors, from the University of Florida in 1994.  He was a member of The Florida Law Review and received a Council of Ten Teaching Fellowship in the field of Contracts.

Ken is admitted to practice before all Florida state courts, the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida, the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and the United States Supreme Court.
