Kent is a native Floridian, born in Sanford, Florida. He received his undergraduate degree, with honors, from the University of Florida in 1992. He subsequently earned his Juris Doctorate, also with honors, at the University of Florida College of Law in 1995. As an undergraduate he was active in the Phi Alpha Delta and Pi Kappa Phi fraternities, a member of the Golden Key Honor Society as well as Savant UF, an organization established to recognize those students who attained a high standard of leadership in collegiate activities and outstanding service to the University of Florida and the surrounding community.
While a law student, Kent served as Class Representative in 1993 and Vice President in 1994. He was a member of the John Marshall Bar Association, an Executive Member of the Council of Ten and a Teaching Fellow, Legal Research and Writing.
He is admitted to practice before all Florida state courts. |
