Brent was born in Evansville, Indiana and raised in Stevens Point, Wisconsin and Roswell, Georgia.  He received his Bachelor of Arts in Journalism, majoring in Broadcast News with a minor in Spanish, from the Honors College at the University of Georgia.  While attending UGA, Brent was a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity, studied abroad at Oxford University, and interned with “The Late Show with David Letterman.”  He obtained his Juris Doctorate from The Florida State University College of Law, and as a law student was a member of the FSU Moot Court Team, the Journal of Transnational Law and Policy, and the Business Review. 

Brent is admitted to practice before all Florida and Georgia state courts, the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida, and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.
