Mr. Valdes
was born in Chicago , Illinois , and was raised in Longwood
, Florida , where he graduated from Lake Brantley High School.
Mr. Valdes earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Political
Science from the Florida State University in 1997, and subsequently
received his Juris Doctorate from the Florida State University
College of Law in 2000.
While a student at the Florida State University College of
Law, Mr. Valdes was a member and officer of the Florida State
University Trial Team, served as Chief Justice of the Florida
State University Student Supreme Court, received the distinguished
pro bono service award and the award for academic excellence
in Growth Management. Further, Mr. Valdes was active in the
Phi Delta Phi fraternity while working as a Law Clerk for
the Department of Education in the Office of Professional
Practices Services and Young, van Assenderp, Varnadoe &
Anderson.
Mr. Valdes has represented a variety of clients including
small business owners, individuals, local governments, and
well-established corporations in a wide range of matters.
Mr. Valdes has been involved in complex trial matters related
to contract actions, eminent domain, real estate development
issues, insurance coverage actions and general business litigation.
Mr. Valdes has represented clients in state and federal court
actions as well as in administrative proceedings.
In addition to his legal experience and formal education,
Mr. Valdes is a PADI Certified Scuba Diving Instructor and
a licensed United States Coast Guard Captain.
