Alexandra was born in Puerto Rico . She received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Florida . She obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland in Baltimore . Following law school, Alexandra served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Jose A. Fuste, Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court for the District of Puerto Rico. She has also served as a Staff Attorney to judges of the Ninth Judicial Circuit Court.

Alexandra is admitted to practice before all Florida state courts, the courts of Maryland , the courts of the District of Columbia , and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida.  She is fully bilingual in English and Spanish.
